In March 2022, Rocío Ortuño was intended to travel to Valencia to deliver this paper at the International Conference “Memorias Periféricas de la Guerra Civil y el Franquismo. Literaturas, Culturas, Ideologías”. She couldn’t do it because she got COVID, so she had to present her paper online. The presentation was not recorded, but on this link you may find the book of abstracts (hers is on page 96) and this is the slideshow that she used.

Workshop on DH with Newspapers

In cooperation with the VLIRUOS project PhilPeriodicals, we organized a workshop for beginners on how to work with newspapers without programming knowledge in July 2021.

Workshop on transcribing newspapers with Transkribus

In cooperation with the VLIRUOS project PhilPeriodicals, we organized in April 2021 a workshop about transcribing newspapers with Transkribus. For this purpose, we invited one of the Transkribus project directors, Günter Mühlberger.
